Gandhinagar Gruh, Nyaymandir, Vadodara

On Sunday, 7 May 2017, Sahiyar (Stree Sangathan) will launch the Dr. Trupti Shah Memorial Lecture Series in her memory with a day-long discussion led by women's activists and environment and civil society groups on Contemporary Concerns: Feminist and Environment Movements in India. Sahiyar has been discussing the possibility of holding a contemporary assessment of the feminist movement in India with other women's groups in India. Given Trupti’s long commitment to both the women’s movement and environmental movement, it is befitting to launch the Dr. Trupti Shah Memorial Series to discuss contemporary concerns of both movements.
